
The state police of Shimla, Indian, recently stated that it has found that the Solan based Manav Bharti University had sold 36,000 fake degrees after scanning 14 out of 55 hard disks which was filled with the fake degrees information. The amount is believed to be more after they complete scanning the remaining 41 hard discks.
Director-General of Police, Sanjay Kundu, said to the media and revealed that the passport of the kingpin of the scam, Raj Kumar Rana, the chairman of Manav Bharti Charitable Trust, has been revoked and has initiated the extradition to bring back him and his family from Australia.

The university also stated on how they signed an MOU with Singapore so that it can take care of faculty exchange programs, international admissions and conferences.
