Indians who are working overseas are hoping that this move will help to remove some of the stigma they are facing.

For example, an Indian doctor working in Texas USA, was very conscious of his ethnicity and it came to a head when a man infected with Covid-19 refused to let him (the doctor) see him, demanding a different doctor that wasn’t East or South Asian.
