A man in Indonesia marries a woman after a year of online dating, only to find out 12 days later that she is biologically male, causing him to be devastated!
According to local media outlets CNN Indonesia and Detikcom, a 26-year-old man from West Java province, AK, met a woman of the same age named Adinda Kanza (not her real name) online. The two dated for a year before getting married in April of this year. The wedding was held only at their home without any official registration. Adinda had been pretending to be a woman for a long time, often wearing Muslim female attire, using makeup techniques to hide her gender, and fabricating a tragic backstory about her deceased parents.
However, after the wedding, Adinda refused to communicate with AK’s family and kept rejecting any intimate contact with AK, causing suspicion among AK and his family. It wasn’t until the twelfth day of their honeymoon period that AK discovered that his wife was, in fact, a man.
AK’s family felt disappointed and ashamed, while AK was furious and filed a police report against his “wife” for fraud. Adinda admitted that she had pretended to be a woman to deceive AK for money.
In the end, AK and his family decided to settle the matter with Adinda’s parents, who were both elderly and in poor health. Adinda apologized to AK and offered to take responsibility for the damages.
This case highlights the dangers of online dating and the importance of verifying one’s identity before getting married. It also shows the emotional toll that deception can have on individuals and their families. It is crucial to communicate openly and honestly with loved ones and to seek legal action when necessary.
