INSURANCE AGENT USES TINDER TO FIND LEADS, ENDS UP ‘PIAK-ING’ ONE

I’m a full-time insurance agent and I was looking for a new way to find potential leads and expand my client base.

I was tired of the same old methods of attending networking events and getting referrals from existing customers.

Then one day, I saw an article about how a real estate agent had made a profile on Tinder and was using it to find leads.

It seemed like an interesting idea and I decided to give it a try. I made a profile and started swiping.

After a few weeks, I had gone out on a few dates and I was starting to get some interest from potential leads.

I had made a few connections with people who seemed interested in what I had to offer.

One of the leads I had connected with seemed particularly interested in my services. We had been exchanging messages for a few weeks and we finally decided to meet up for drinks.

The date went well and we ended up going back to my place. I was expecting to just talk more about insurance but things quickly got heated and we ended up in bed together.

I felt guilty afterwards. I had gone against my own business ethics and I was worried that I had crossed a line.

I didn’t want to put any pressure on my lead and I felt like I had taken advantage of the situation. I was also worried that I had ruined any chance of doing business with them.

However, a few days later, the lead called me and asked for more information about my services. I was taken aback but I decided to give them a chance.

We talked on the phone for a while and I explained my services in more detail. We agreed to meet up again to discuss things further and I was relieved that the situation hadn’t been ruined by our night together.

Since then, I’ve been more cautious with my interactions with potential leads. I’m still using Tinder to find leads but I’m more aware of where I draw the line.

I don’t want to take advantage of any situation and I want to make sure that I’m always professional.
