Tan is facing two charges under the Financial Advisers Act, while Yuen faces six charges; with five under the same act and one for intentionally obstructing justice.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said in a statement that Yuen was notified on 14 September 2019 to record a statement relating to an investigation with the MAS.
And between 14 September to 16 September 2019, Yuen allegedly asked Tan to fill in coaching forms despite being aware that Tan didn’t know about the particulars of the sessions.
The forms were related to a couple of financial consultants with prudential who were under Yuen’s supervision.
Tan then allegedly made false entries in the forms and handed them to the MAS officer.
The MAS then issued an order on 17 September 2018 and Yuen then allegedly gave the form that had the false/misleading information to the officer.
Prior to her interview with MAS, Yuen allegedly deleted Whatsapp messages that were possibly needed for the investigations by the MAS.
