Apart from this change, many international travellers would also be allowed to bypass the whole quarantine period,

Health requirements for entry into Japan

Foreign internationals such as students or businessmen who visit Japan for any reasons other than tourism will be permitted entry to the country as long as they have received a third jab or a booster dose and they are also required to show a negative ART result within 72 hours from the time of their departure.

Those who meet these criteria will most likely be able to bypass the whole three days of quarantine period.

However, they must come from a country whereby the pandemic situation is under control.
