According to Tourism Minister Tetsuo Saito, the Japanese government will perform a test this month to evaluate if the country can safely admit foreign tourists in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Due to COVID-19 border regulations, foreign visitors are now not permitted to enter Japan. Foreign travellers in small groups on package trips will be permitted for the exam.
