Japanese adult video actress Hana Kuraki has died at the age of 25, with reports stating that her body was found inside an apartment in Tokyo’s Kabukicho district.
The circumstances surrounding her death have drawn attention after it emerged that the apartment was rented under the name of Shota Taira, a host associated with the Kabukicho-based L’s Collection group.
Host club owner Sakito acknowledged Kuraki’s death in a post on X on Sep. 12, saying he had gone to the apartment after being contacted by one of her friends.
Friend reportedly discovered her
According to reports, Kuraki was found dead at the apartment on Sep. 12.
Police and Kuraki’s management agency had not publicly confirmed an official cause of death at the time of the report. Reports circulating online have included speculation about the circumstances, but an official determination had not been announced.
Sakito also addressed information circulating about the incident, saying he was not the first person to discover Kuraki.
He said one of Kuraki’s friends had found her and contacted him before he travelled to the apartment.
Host tenant was contacted
Sakito said he subsequently contacted Taira, who was identified as the person renting the apartment.
According to Sakito’s account, Taira told him that he had a meeting and would only be able to arrive at the apartment approximately two hours later.
Sakito said he therefore remained at the location and dealt with police officers and investigators who arrived at the scene.
He also expressed his condolences following Kuraki’s death and urged people not to circulate unverified claims about what had happened.
Kuraki reportedly discussed relationship problems
Sakito said Kuraki had previously spoken to him about difficulties in her relationship with Taira.
He expressed regret and questioned whether there was anything more he could have done to help her.
Sakito also said he was disappointed by criticism he alleged had come from Taira, whom he had regarded as a friend.
Despite this, he called on people to refrain from further speculation and inaccurate information, stressing the need to consider Kuraki’s family and friends.
Actress made AV debut in 2024
Kuraki was reportedly from Kanagawa and had previously worked as a hair and makeup assistant.
She entered the adult video industry in May 2024, making her debut as an exclusive performer with Japanese AV label S1.
She was 25 when she died.
