JAYWALKER CONFRONTS CAR IN MIDDLE OF ROAD, POINTS MIDDLE FINGER

A video emerged online showing a confrontation between a man who was jaywalking and the driver of the camcar, who was honking at him.

The incident happened on 4 April at about 10.12pm, along Orchard Road.

The video begins with the camcar driving along the road, and in the distance, there was a man jaywalking across the road.

The traffic lights were green in favour of the camcar at the time, and the driver then honked at the jaywalker.

The jaywalking man then stopped in his tracks, and stared at the driver, before walking up to the car and pointing a middle finger at the driver.

He then walked away from the scene and continued on his jaywalking journey.

Potential penalties

Jaywalking is an offence and jaywalkers can be fined S$20 on the spot.

They can also be charged and fined up to S$1,000, or jailed up to three months.

Repeat offenders may be fined up to S$2,000 or jailed up to six months.
