A video emerged online showing a jaywalker suddenly running towards a car, which was making a u-turn at the time.

The incident happened on 22 April along Punggol Place at about 10.48pm.
Here is what the driver said
Was making a uturn, man dressed in yellow came running towards cam car. Manage to stop in time.
Came out running towards car
The man in the yellow single was seen dashing towards the camcar while jaywalking, and almost causing an accident.
Thankfully the driver managed to stop in time and avoid a collision with the errant pedestrian.

Potential penalties
Jaywalking is an offence and jaywalkers can be fined S$20 on the spot.
They can also be charged and fined up to S$1,000, or jailed up to three months.
Repeat offenders may be fined up to S$2,000 or jailed up to six months.
