A 29-year-old man was arrested on 26 Nov 2020 after he was found in the possession of a stun gun.
The incident happened in the evening around 10.30 pm, the police were alerted after a couple was heard argument loudly at a HDB unit located at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10. As reported, the argument was due to the man being unhappy with his Vietnamese girlfriend refusing to change her job.
It is said that the woman is working as a beer girl and the couple had an argument while they are on their way home. It was reported that the man has even hit his girlfriend while arguing with her.
The police were later alerted by the neighbours.
While the police were investigating the case, they had found a stun gun which was disgust as an iPhone in the man’s possession. The man was then arrested under the Arm and Explosive Act.
According to the law, anyone convicted of possessing illegal weapons could be jailed up to 3 years fined $5,000 or both.
