A jealous man was arrested after he attacked his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend with a chopper after learning that his ex-girlfriend has found a new man. The assault has left the victim with a 10 cm wound on his head.
The assault happened this morning (28 Aug) around 6 am at a unit located at Block 534 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10. The assault was triggered after the man saw his ex-girlfriend brought the victim back to their home.
After an argument, the man went to the kitchen and took out a chopper and attacked the victim. In the process, the ex-girlfriend’s younger sister was injured while trying to stop the man. The victim then escapes out of the unit with his face covered in blood.
Both the sisters had also run out of their unit and tried to seek help from their neighbours and the police were alerted. Both the victim and the younger sister were sent to Seng Kang General Hospital for treatment.
The man was later arrested at the unit. Investigations are ongoing.
