DJ asks her out on a date
Following the virality of the video, 987FM radio DJ, Joakim Gomez, took it upon himself to ask Wu out on a date, in an attempt to change her impression of Singaporean men, according to 8Days.
Gomez said on his Instagram that there was “no need to generalise all Singaporean men” and that we’re not all that bad”.
Addressing Wu on his Instagram Stories, Gomez said “I’m openly asking you out for a meal. If it all goes to sh-t, I still pay for your teh peng so it’s a win-win for you”.
However, Wu rejected his advances.
Thank you for your kind invitation
Responding to Gomez, Wu took to her Instagram Stories and reposted his story, captioning it:
“Hi Mr Gomez,
The experience shared in the interview was based on my very first and only bad experience dating with SG man. It is not meant for generalization and I have stated this clearly during the interview.
I sincerely hope you do not take this personally.
In regards to your kind invitation, I would like to politely decline it. Thank you.
Cheers.”
