JOEY MENDOZA STILL SAY HE’S THE ORIGINAL COMPOSER BUT TAKE DOWN VID AS GOODWILL GESTURE

Joey Mendoza, the Indian composer who was suspected of plagiarism of Singapore’s national song, Count on Me Singapore, expressed his willingness to remove the relevant song from the public platform and requested that the teaching of this song be stopped.

The Indian version of We Can Achieve is exactly the same as Singapore’s national song, except that the country’s name has been changed. Mendoza claimed that he was the original creator of the song, but was willing to remove the song from the public platform as a form of goodwill.

The Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth stated that Singapore has accepted the apology from the Indian music platform Pauline India. The company released the song after purchasing the copyright from Mendoza in 1999.
