The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has removed a kerb that was protruding at a road along Bedok North after receiving negative feedback from motorists about mounting the kerb whenever they are making u-turns.
Among the complaints was from TikTok user Wilson Lee who shared a video of the car that mounted the kerb, captioning it:
“I have seen so many cars mount and get stuck at this road island at this particular junction in Bedok North, this car certainly won’t be the last.”

East Coast GRC MP Cheryl Charn also posted an update on the situation, announcing that the kerb has since been removed by the LTA after being assessed.
Cheryl Chan’s statement
There had been several incidents recently of cars mounting the kerb at the traffic light junction at Bedok North Road and Bedok North St 2 when the drivers make U-turn.
There were sign markers on it to indicate the presence of a kerb but it was knocked over each time. After assessment, LTA had since removed the kerb for everyone’s safety.
