Oh dear! Here we go again. Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan raised the possibility of transport fares rising again in Parliament. Of course, he masked the important statement about TRANSPORT COST RISING, by saying that it is not sustainable for taxpayers to increasingly subsidise the cost of operating Singapore’s public transport systems.
Try to make it look nice by saying taxpayers money should not be used to pay to sustain transport costs, but at the same time increase the actual transport cost, so we really pay for it. Water cost up, transport fares also up. Was, this year Parliament is all about increasing prices. Are they trying to make us all pay the price fro not voting them? That’s why the 30% water fee increase?
Don’t be surprised if transport fees rise up by 30% also.
