A Sheng Siong worker by the name of Cia Yi was on his way to work on Tuesday when he realised that he had lost his wallet.
He had some money, his NRIC, work permit and other important documents inside his wallet at the time.
SMRT Senior Bus Captain, Surishkumar, who was off duty at the time, had inadvertently found Cia Yi’s wallet and picked it up at Kranji Bus Interchange.
He then found the contact details of Cia Yi from the wallet and contacted him, and even went the extra mile by heading down to Cia Yi’s workplace to return the wallet to him.
They then liaised via Whatsapp and Cia Yi told the bus captain where he works, along with the postal code, after Surishkumar had sent him photos of the wallet.
Surishkumar said that he knows how it feels to lose your wallet or phone, and he wanted to make sure that the lost wallet was returned to the rightful owner.
The two then finally met up for the wallet to be returned and even took a selfie together.
