In the wake of the viral videos exposing the teachers of two Kinderland preschools (one at Choa Chu Kang’s Sunshine Place and another one at Woodlands Mart) of ill-treating and beating the toddlers under their care, Kinderland Singapore has since issued a public statement on their Facebook page.
Kinderland said in their statement that they “wish to assure the public and parents that we remain committed to upholding the trust you have placed in us for 45 years.”
On the two incidents of child mistreatment, Kinderland said that they have conducted and are conducting their own inquiries at the moment, with one teacher already having been dismissed while the other has since been suspended temporarily.
They also added that they have reached out tot he parents of the affected children and are “profoundly grateful”
to them for accepting their apology.

Kinderland wishes to assure the public and parents that we remain committed to upholding the trust you have placed in us for 45 years.
The incidents in question are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
Internally, we have conducted/are conducting our own inquiries and have dismissed one teacher and suspended the other (for now).
We have also reached out to the parents of the affected children. We are profoundly grateful to the parents who have accepted our apology and remedial measures.
The welfare of all children under our care remains the utmost priority.
Let us continue to work together constructively for our children to grow holistically.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested by the Singapore Police Force after a video previously emerged online showing footage of a teacher at Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart viciously attacking a couple of toddlers while forcing them to drink water.
Following that, another 48-year-old woman was also arrested by the police for ill-treating children at a separate branch, at Kinderland Preschool @ Choa Chu Kang, Sunshine Place, after similar videos of her beating a toddler and smacking him repeatedly in the head went viral.
