A netizen recently posted on social media an image of three cyclists riding on a road which is believed to be taken from inside a vehicle.
A closer look at the photos provided by the netizen shows three cyclists managing a road bend by cycling beside one another instead of in a single file.
This angered the netizen who captioned his post as ‘The Grandfathers Road’, which is a phrase commonly used in Singapore/Singlish on errant motorists or pedestrians who use the road in a way where it belongs to their own grandfather and they can do whatever they like while on it.

Rules & Regulations on cycling on roads
Here are the rules and regulations of cycling on roads in Singapore related to what is seen in the picture by the netizen:

Netizens who saw the posts gave their thoughts on the matter and here is what they have to say:
- Not grandfather road is kings of the roads.
- They shld ride in single file. *PS, also not your grandfather road. Cheers
- If weekends I’m still ok… but weekdays rush hours and peak hours also like that – end up slowing down traffic. Oh well.
