The netizen said:

“A Kitten (abt 3 mold) was found crying for help in a canal at Sungei Langchar. A group of residents and park walkers helped to rescue it. The canal was full of rain water and any moment the water will sweep the kitty away. Fortunately, the rescuers lowered a stone laden basket with ropes and after some coaching, the poor kitty climbed into it with his last ounce of strength. He was brought on land, completely soaked to the skin, shivering from the cold and exhaustion.

He used his last strength to try and run into the Bush. I quickly caught it and kept him warm in my arms, while walking home as quickly as I can. The poor kitty was crying initially and then started purring as he cuddled up in my arms. The rescuers are my neighbours and they are camera shy and don’t want their photo taken. They are the heroes who saved the kitty from certain drowning.

I will keep you posted on the kitty tomorrow as he has just eaten and gone to sleep in his warm bed in my house.”
