KOTOBUKI RESTAURANT @ YUAN CHING ROAD DOWNGRADED AFTER FOOD POISONING

About 113 people reported having gastroenteritis symptoms after consuming food prepared by Kotobuki Restaurant at 3 Yuan Ching Road, #01-02A from 18 November to 20 October last year.

None of the people were hospitalised.

The Ministry of Health and the Singapore Food Agency conducted a joint investigation following the reported incident.

The restaurant was inspected on 27 October 2021 and several hygiene lapses were found at the premises, and advisories have been issued by the SFA.

The hygiene grade for the restaurant has been downgraded from B to C, effective 3 June 2022 onwards, and can be reviewed in 12 months.

The premises will also be kept under surveillance by the authorities.
