A netizen shared a photo on a Facebook group about a landlord who charges fees for the most ridiculous of things.

The landlord had purportedly rented out a room for $750 per month, and in the tenancy agreement that was handed to the tenant of a flat in Jurong West, were a list of dos and don’ts, as well as some charges.
Some of the rules include:
- Tenant has to return home by 10pm as door will be locked at 10.30pm every day
- Tenant cannot be home from 8am to 5pm, except for weekends and public holidays.
- No work is allowed to be done in the room so as not to disturb the peace of others.
- No food is allowed to be consumed in the room, and no sweet foods can be kept in the room.
- Toilet and room must be cleaned weekly, and “before and after” photos of the cleaned toilets must be sent via WhatsApp.
- Floor has to be wiped dry after showering so others don’t fall down.
- No hair or dirty things in living room area or toilet.
- Washing machine can only be used weekly, clothes must hang outside, bra and panties must be dried in room to avoid bad luck.
- No visitors allowed.
- No smoking allowed.
- Cooking of noodles is allowed but sink must be wiped dry after cooking.
- Air conditioner cannot be turned on to save water and electricity.
- A one month notice must be given before moving out and the deposit will be used as final month’s rental.
- A fee of $10 will be charged for charging laptop, handphones can be charged for free.
