Traffic on the roads near the beach was also congested, with a the traffic jam purportedly stretching all the way to Loyang.
The bluish glow in the water is caused by dinoflagellates, a plankton; with a chemical reaction in the plankton creating a bluish glow in the waters.
People at the beach were seen trying to get the plankton to emit the glow by throwing sand and other things into the water.
