
Lawrence Wong recently stated on how Singapore’s restrictions were relaxed as the months passed but due to the increase in the number of community cases lately, this has been worrying the authorities.
He goes on to say that:
“Authorities Considering Additional Measures As More Community Cases Emerge”
And to prevent a spike in infections, we might have to give up some of our liberties. Therefore, the government is considering additional measures to keep the community cases under control as more infections start to emerge.
Mr Wong stated in a Facebook post on Monday (18 Jan), that he noted on a new cluster linked to a police para-vet was recently detected, the first local cluster in months.
‘Our contact tracers are working hard to identify all the possible contacts, ring-fence the potential cases and prevent them from spreading further”, he said.
“We are also monitoring the situation carefully and considering if additional measures are necessary to ensure the infection remains under control.”
