LAZADA SUFFERS DATE BREACH. 1.1MILLION REDMART ACCOUNTS SOLD ONLINE

A Lazada spokesperson confirmed on Friday (30 Oct) that personal information from more than 1.1 million RedMart accounts was stolen from the e-commerce platform Lazada in a data breach. The information was then sold online.

It was believed that hackers have information like names, phone numbers, and partial credit card numbers from about 1.1 million users.

Lazada is currently investigating into this serious data breach.

All customers of Lazada are advised to change their log-in usernames and passwords as a security precaution.
