Those who frequent orchard road must have seen the ‘Beads Uncle’, he is often seen busking in the streets with hula hopping the beeds around his neck and waist.

According to the obituary posted online, the ‘Beads Uncle’ is known as Oh Ow Kwee, he passed away peacefully on 5 June 2022 at the age of 80.
Previously he stopped performing due to COVID-19 restrictions but after the restrictions were lifted he was back again.
A video of him performing at Orchard Road earlier this year was also uploaded to Youtube
He is surely an icon that many will remember.
