A maid in Singapore recently took to Facebook to ask for advice to deal with her employers, saying that working with them is like riding a roller coaster.
She said that she cleans a 5-storey home by herself and work is never-ending, and that she starts work at 5.30am before finishing at about 10.30 to 11pm.
She adds that the only time she gets to rest is when she’s having her meals, which she sometimes skips because she’s too tired to even eat.
Here is what she said (SIC)
how to deal with employer who have mood swing …
and very particular with house cleaning . FYI
i work in 5 storey house (alone) . a lot of work and it never ending work start at 5.30am finish 10.30-11 pm, the only time for rest is only when i’m having brakfast , lunch (sometimes 4pm beause of work) and Dinner (which sometimes I skip because to tired to even want to eat) I i’m going to finish my contract soon .
because of their mood swing i’m having a hard time decided either to continue or no i wish i can continue work with them but I know i need to have strong mentality and big heart to do that .
i want to ask for transfer but i’m afraid they will get hurt with the reason i give
before work with this current employer, i have work for 15 years with my former employer, taking care of their elderly parents until both passed away.
They said they are very nice people (agree) but many times they hurt me emotionally. for the almost 2 years i cry a lot . working with them is like riding a roller coaster.
