Maid or no maid?
Sorry for the rant peeps but.. May I do a survey 1st?
Usually, if you all employ maids, do they cook for you? I’m not sure why is my maid here for since she hasn’t been any help in assist in prepping meals for the family.
Generally, her main job is to cook, our house is small, no pets no elderly. Taught her many things and many times repeatedly same cooking instructions still cannot cook even 3 dishes in 7 month of employments. Every time when I’m back from work, my kids will tell me they are hungry. Almost most of the meal I cooked for the family. Then for her, she can just cook for herself using a lots of good ingredients. Usual after my son comes back from school, he must eat because he’s hungry. But she nv prepare.. So I cooked for him too. What she can cook is luncheon meat and hotdogs for my kids only.
Liked no brainer food. I think might as well i quit my job and stay at home in order to let my kids have a balanced meal but then our pockets will be tighter as only 1 person working. Already programmed her, before cooking must put table mat. Did not put. Everything i do it myself.
Till now, I start to question myself. Why is she here? Is she be in any of the help. If you were in my shoe, will you still want to continue this employment? But my hubby warns me, if this maid cannot then forever dun employ maid in future since is so troublesome.
So I’m in a dilemma. Please help and thanks in advance.
Here are what netizens think:
- let him eat the no brainer food she cook for your kid. it is normal to change a few times because you will only know when she actually works for you
- Can she make a sandwich? Lettuce, tomato, egg, ham, avocado etc, sandwiches can be very nutritious.
You need to have lots of patience to have a helper. I have one for 2 years and she is still forgetting routine things. She could only cook simple soupy dishes and fry finger food for my kids, and most of the time I cook the – meals for the family…and I’m working. Imagine the rush when I get home.
- You would need to repeat instructions for her and keep reminding her what needs to be done on a daily basis. You may want to train her to prepare the ingredients beforehand since you are the one who does the cooking.
- Look for experienced maid instead. It is worth the pay, at least mine.
- She is pure lazy. Stop buying canned/processed food and be VERY strict with her. Give her stern warning. Ask her to give you a list of menu for the week. If no improvement, get a replacement. Don’t waste time.
