An Indonesian maid was sentenced to four weeks of jail after she was found guilty of stealing from her employers between Mar 2020 to May 2020. The maid was found with a total of $1,203.95 when she was caught.
She was found committing the crime multiple times over a period of three months. On the 10th of March 2020, the spouse of her employer noticed that a cardholder with $52 and an EZ-link card with a value of $20 had gone missing.
During mid-April to May 2020, her employer noticed that about $300 had gone missing from his wallet. After multiple incidents, her employer started to take note of how much money they put in their wallets.
on 16 May 2020, her employer place about $164 in her wallet and left it in her bedroom for a few days. Three days later, her employer found that $20 was missing from the wallet.
On the 21 May 2020, her employer and his wife decided to conduct a check on the maid. They then found the money and a coin pouch among the maid’s belonging and alerted the police. Upon the police arrival, the maid admitted to stealing from her employers.
