A 38-year-old primary school teacher was accused of touching and kissing the upper body of a 14-year-old girl. The case was last heard in the district court on 12 Nov 2020 and the man is now facing three charges under the Children and Young Person Act.

According to the court documents, the man had kissed and touched the upper body of the 14-year-old girl between Apr to Jun last year. It was not stated how the offence was found out.
The man is currently out on bail for $15,000. The case has been adjourned to 10 Dec 2020.
If convicted, the man could face up to 5 years imprisonment and fined up to $10,000.
