A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly committing an obscene act and assaulting a public servant at a Toa Payoh residential estate on Sunday morning.
In a statement, the police said they received a call for assistance at about 9.45am on June 28 at Block 184 Toa Payoh Central.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man had allegedly committed an obscene act before voluntarily causing hurt to a public servant who was carrying out official duties.
The suspect was subsequently arrested at the scene.
The Singapore Police Force did not disclose the nature of the obscene act or provide further details regarding the injuries sustained by the public servant.

Under Singapore law, those convicted of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from discharging his or her duties may face a jail term, a fine, caning, or a combination of these penalties.
