National Service (NS) is a cornerstone of Singaporean society, with young males required to serve in the military. National Service is not just a legal obligation; it is a crucial component of Singapore’s national security strategy. All Singaporean males are required to undergo NS to ensure the country’s defense capabilities.

I am about to enlist in the Army, can the uncle over here teach me step-by-step how to dodge NS? I am a high IQ individual, I am better off contributing to the science and math ecosystem in Sg.
Please please! I only got 3 months left, time is running out! My last resort is to swim out of Sg

Here are what netizens think:
- If ur IQ is really so high u no need any uncle to teach you how to dodge NS. U can figure it out urself.
- if u only know how to score As but zero knowledge in NS it means u low IQ
- Go enjoy yourself la 20years later when you think back you feel grateful you got the best memories.
- Go for express Sx change in Thailand.
- Every boy think the same before enlistment. Please don’t do anything to harm urself. Army is never a bed of roses. U’ll hate every minute of it. But it’s the most memorable journey in life.
- Go thru the army when people sleep in the night u are Learning a skill. When people rest after chionging u take out ur slip of papers wrapped in plastic n self learn investing skills. That’s what I did in the army. It’s tough but u cultivate a habit in whatever circumstance u are u can still make good out of it.
- No need to siam la,be a man…just serve your ns..u will be grateful n thank yourself later bcoz some experience in ns cant be replace by ur high IQ.
- Just quickly get out of the country and don’t come back. You won’t miss it unless you got strong family ties or you are the homely boy. Those friends of mine who obediently served NS and then went US to get their PhD, then settled down there, regretted not leaving before their NS! They hardly come back to SG now. And they cannot imagine living here with all its stifling rules and crowded, restricted physical space. Think carefully my suggestion!
