I’m addicted to gambling.
It all started with Chinese New Year. Every year, my family and I would gather for the festivities. We’d eat delicious foods, share stories, and of course, gamble.
We’d play cards, buy lottery tickets, and place bets.
As the years passed, my love for gambling grew. I started to gamble more regularly, playing games at the casino and betting on sports.
I would spend hours at the tables, losing money, but I never seemed to learn my lesson.
When Chinese New Year rolled around, I was more than ready to start the festivities.
I was determined to win big this time and I was sure I had the luck of the gods on my side.
I was wrong.
After 15 days of Chinese New Year, I was still gambling. I had lost more money than I had ever imagined possible.
My family had stopped talking to me and I was in serious debt. I felt like I was at rock bottom.
I tried to stop, but the addiction was too strong. I just couldn’t seem to quit. I was stuck in a vicious cycle, gambling more and more until I was completely broke.
I eventually had to turn to getting ‘loans’ to keep my gambling habit going. With each loan, the debt kept piling up and I was in danger of losing everything.
It was only a matter of time before I was in too deep.
Unfortunately, it was too late. I had wasted away the last 15 days of Chinese New Year gambling, leaving me with nothing.
I was left with no money, no family, and no hope.
I had been so foolish. I thought I could beat the odds and win big, but in the end, I had nothing.
I had let my addiction get the best of me, and now I was paying the price for my foolishness.
