Vehicles passing by purportedly honked their horns and made detours.

The incident allegedly happened at around 6pm in the evening on September 1, at a coffeeshop located at Block 820 on Tampines Street 81.

Speaking to Shin Min Daily News; a witness, Ah Jin (34-years-old, working as a cashier at a tea stall), said that the man in his 20s came to buy Iced-Milo but didn’t have money.

Ah Jin told him that a cup costs $1.60, to which the man said he had no money. So the cashier told him that he couldn’t sell. After which he got agitated and threw the chair in front of the stall. Fortunately it didn’t hit any of the patrons but they were too afraid to sit next to him after that.

He added that the man ran rampant and wild afterwards, picked up a chair and threw it onto the road whilst continuing to shout.

A Filipino maid then went to the coffeeshop to find the man, revealing that he is emotionally unstable. Ah Jin also noted that the maid was a regular at the coffeeshop, often buying Iced-Milo and patronised them about three to four times a week.

An uncle was helping to chase the man away, but when the man walked ouitside the coffeeshop, he raised a fire extinguisher and wanted to throw it before he was stopped by a worker at a mixed vegetables rice stall.
