He is being accused of offering $50 to a nurse at a Choa Chu Kang inoculation centre to indicate in the healthcare system that he had received his 2nd Pfizer-BoNTech vaccine jab.

The CPIB said that the nurse rejected his offer, although it wasn’t revealed how they came to know of the case.

Tan is intending to contest the charge and his case is scheduled for a pre-trial conference on 17 February.

He faces a fine of up to $100,000 and a jail term of up to 5 years if he is convicted.
