A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of his 79-year-old mother at a residential unit along Fernvale Road, Singapore. The arrest took place on the morning of Sunday, June 1, following a distress call received by the Singapore Police Force.

According to an official statement released on June 2, the police were alerted to the incident at approximately 11:48am.
