Facebook user Erwin Tan posted on Facebook and shared about how someone had thrown bricks down from the 8th floor of a HDB building in Bukit Merah.

He said that the bricks would have hit him had he been 3 seconds faster, but thankfully he managed to escape without getting hurt.

A netizen asked him how he knew the brick was thrown from the 8th storey of the HDB building, and he replied that he saw the culprit in the act.

Tan added that there were 3 bricks thrown down, and when the culprit was about to throw the 4th brick down from the building, he shouted at him and the culprit then retracted.

He further added that on hindsight, he should have kept quiet (so as not to alarm the culprit) and ran up the block to catch the culprit.

Almost hit parked car(s)

In the photos that Tan shared, the bricks could be seen shattered beside a blue Toyota that was parked at the open carpark below, narrowly missing the vehicle.

The area where the thrown bricks had landed, was also right beside the block’s letterboxes, and residents who were collecting their mail could have been hit by the killer litter.

Speaking to Shin Min Daily News, Tan said that the incident happened on 11 April at about 8.45pm in the evening, when he was on his way to his office and noticed a man throwing bricks from the 8th floor.

The 43-year-old said that he was really angry at the time because he could’ve been badly injured if the bricks had hit him.

A police report had also been lodged, with the Singapore Police Force confirming that they had received a report on a case of rash act, and the incident is currently under police investigation.

Someone threw bricks down from the 8 storey. 3 seconds faster, I could have been badly injured, or posting this from hell. How could this happen?

2nd incident in less than a month (1st a car accident that happened upfront) which a few seconds sooner, I would have been badly injured or killed. I hope someone up there ain’t sending me a msg or hint.
