A 32-year-old man was sentenced to 6 weeks of jail after he was found guilty of insulting the modesty of his three sisters-in-law, mother-in-law and ex-wife.
It was reported that the man was staying with his ex-wife and her family during the time of his offences. According to the court documents, it was said that the man was aroused by his sisters-in-law and mother-in-law from time to time which led to his offences. It was mentioned in the court documents that the man’s sisters-in-law would go braless in front of him when they were at home.
In 2015, the man installed a hidden camera in a clock to filmed his sisters-in-law and mother-in-law when they were using the toilet. The camera was later found by his wife and the camera was later thrown away by his wife.
In 2017, the man reoffended by taking photos of the side of his sisters-in-law upper body through the armhole of her singlet. He then stored all the photo in a thumb drive for later use. However, the photos were later discovered by his ex-wife. The man then told his ex-wife to delete the photos but she decided to expose him instead.
In Jun 2019, the man’s sisters-in-law decided to lodge a police report against him which led to his arrest. According to the law, anyone convicted of insulting a woman’s modesty could be jailed for up to a year and fine.
