MAN ARRESTED AFTER SELLING COUNTERFEIT WATCHES ONLINE

Nothing is too good to be true if it’s too cheap always remember to be wary. Do not trust and don’t be a cheapo! The police release the following information about a cheating case.

The Police have arrested a 33-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a series of cheating cases.

Between March and July 2018, the Police received several reports from victims who were purportedly cheated by an online seller claiming to be selling genuine watches at a cheaper rate. Victims eventually discover that the watches are counterfeit watches.

Through extensive ground enquiries and follow-up investigation, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 24 October 2018.

The man will be charged in court on 26 October 2018 with cheating which is punishable with an imprisonment term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine.
