MAN ARRESTED AFTER SLASHING OTHERS WITH A KNIFE @ TAMPINES

According to a media release, a 50-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in causing hurt to others with a dangerous weapon.

The police were alerted on 21 Jul 2020 about the slashing incident after 2 men got into a fight at the HDB corridor located at Tampines Street 11. The victim was left with a deep cut on his right leg and was rushed to the Changi General Hospital for treatment.

The officers from the Bedok police division managed to identified the suspect within 3 hours after the incident and arrested him. According to the police, both men involved knew each other prior to the incident.

According to the law, if found guilty the suspect could face a jail term up to 7 years, fined or caned for the crime he committed.
