MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED CREDIT CARD FRAUD

A 52-year-old man was arrested on 18 Jan 2021 for his suspected involvement in a case of alleged credit card fraud. It was reported that the man allegedly went on a shopping spree with a found credit card. It was said that he had spent more than $2000 with the credit card.

The police were alerted on 01 Jan 2021 at 12.50 am by the victim claiming that several unauthorised transactions have been made with his missing credit card.

After investigations, the police managed to identify the man’s identity and arrested him. Initial investigation revealed that the man had purchased two shoes, four bottles of wines, a coffee machine and a shirt with the victim’s credit card.

The man was charged in court with cheating on 20 Jan 2021, if convicted, he could face a jail term up to 10 years and fine.
