
A 57-year-old man was arrested for hurling metal parts such as bolts and nuts at vehicles using a homemade sling at Serangoon Central.

The police said that from January to May 2021, they received reports where metal parts were shot into moving and parked vehicles in an open-air carpark in Serangoon Central.
After investigating, the police established the identity of the culprit and arrested him on Thursday(May 27).
The man was then charged in court for rash acts on Friday(May 28).
“The police have zero tolerance against acts that endanger the lives or safety of others and will not hesitate to take action against those who blatantly disregard the law,” the police said
