MAN BEAT RED LIGHT AND DROVE AT 180 KM/HR BECAUSE HE NEEDS TO LAO SAI

A 57-year-old man was sentenced to 7 weeks of jail and suspended from driving after he was found guilty of reckless driving.

According to court documents, the man was caught driving against the traffic at a high speed of 180 KM per hour and he had also beaten two red light along the way.

The incident happened on 01 Mar 2020, the man was driving from Marina Bays Sands to Jurong during the wee hours. It was reported that he was having a stomachache when he was driving and decided to head to his brother’s coffee shop located at Jurong to make use of the toilet.

The man was later caught by traffic police along the way but he did not stop and even sped at 180 KM per hour before beating two red lights. When nearing his destination, the man even drove against the traffic.

The man only stopped after he was blocked by a taxi when he was entering the carpark of Block 343 Jurong East Street 31. Apparently, the man did all this just to use the toilet.
