According to a media release, the man who was beaten up at Block 157 Bukit Batok Street 11 coffeeshop has claimed that he is a gangster before the fight broke out.
The incident happened on 19 Jun 2020 around 10.38 PM. It was the first day of phase 2 re-opening and many people were eating out at the coffee when the incident happened.
Apparently, the uncle was involved in an argument with 2 men after the uncle spotted then having a quarrel at the coffee shop. In the process, the uncle claimed that he is a gangster from a gang and asked them not to create any trouble at his turf.
After the argument, the uncle messes up the durian stall beside him before proceeding to flip a table in the coffee shop. His action angered 3 men who were drinking at the coffee shop and a fight broke out.
The 3 men were seen beating up the drunk uncle leaving him sitting on the floor with blood on his head. After the incident, broken beer bottles were found on the floor and the table at the coffee shop was also damaged.
