In a heartbreaking incident that unfolded in Selangor, Malaysia, a young woman, aged 21, lost her life as a result of a violent attack by her boyfriend, a 20-year-old college student.
China Press reported that the suspect, a 20-year-old college graduate fresh out of school, was arrested by the police and investigations into the horrific murder are ongoing.
The unfortunate turn of events occurred when the 21-year-old victim, who worked as a waitress and was four months pregnant, refused to conceal her pregnancy at the request of her partner. According to sources, the suspect had impregnated her outside of wedlock, leading to the disagreement.
Late in the evening on May 22, the suspect allegedly drove his girlfriend to a palm oil plantation, where an argument escalated into physical violence. In a fit of rage, he mercilessly beat her to death, attacking her until she succumbed to her injuries and died.
In a distressing act of brutality, the assailant proceeded to stab the victim’s abdomen in an attempt to remove the unborn child from her dead body; she was 4-months pregnant at the time, according to Berita Harian.
To conceal the evidence, the suspect resorted to burning the victim’s body not once, but twice. After initially setting the body ablaze at the plantation, he returned the following morning on a motorcycle to repeat the act, hoping to eradicate any remaining traces of evidence.
Local residents first noticed smoke emanating from the plantation, prompting them to investigate the source. To their horror, they discovered the charred remains of the victim, with approximately 60% of her body destroyed by the flames, and her head being the most affected.
Law enforcement authorities swiftly apprehended the suspect on May 24, at approximately 1:45 pm, in a residential unit. It is worth noting that the individual had no previous criminal record.
The investigation into this tragic case is currently ongoing as authorities work diligently to uncover all the details surrounding this appalling crime.
