According to the media release, a woman got a shock of her life after finding a stranger taking a shower in her bathroom when returning from dinner with her daughter. Apparently, the woman has forgotten to lock the door after leaving the apartment.
The incident happened on 28 Mar 2020, at 7.15 pm. After the mother and daughter head out for dinner, the suspect has passed by their apartment. Upon noticing that the apartment was unlocked he decided to break into the house.
To prevent getting caught, he moved away the CCTV outside the apartment and damage the CCTV placed inside the apartment. After breaking into the house the man went straight to the bathroom for a shower.
At around 10.30 pm, the woman and her daughter return home and noticed that the bathroom light was switched on. She went on to checked on the situation and find the man standing in the bathroom drying his hair.
The woman shouted, “Who are you?” at the man and the man ran out of the house immediately.
The woman later alerted the police and the man was arrested on the 01 Apr 2020.
After investigation, it was found that the man was arrested before for housebreaking and drug-related offences. He had just been released from prison before he was arrested again.
