MAN BROKE INTO OFFICE AT SEMBAWANG TO STEAL CASH FROM SAFE

According to the Police media release, a 35-year-old man was arrested by the Police for his involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft.

The incident happened on 30 July 2021, the Police were alerted to a case of housebreaking at a restaurant located along Sembawang Road. Cash amounting to $611.50 was purportedly stolen from a safe located in the manager’s office.

Officers from Woodlands Police Division identified the guy and detained him on 4 August 2021 after conducting thorough ground investigations and using pictures from CCTVs and police cameras.

The man will be charged in court with housebreaking and theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.
