A video emerged online showing a man vandalizing a parked car at an open carpark, before fleeing the scene of the crime.
He was seen walking past the car and looking around him to see if anyone was watching, before walking towards the car and vandalizing the vehicle by scratching the doors of the vehicle,
The entire incident was captured on the car’s dashcam.
The incident happened on 24 November at around 2.25pm at an open carpark at Ang Mo Kio Centre, opposite Courts and the Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic.
The owner of the car captioned the video:
“Look out for this guy who vandalized a car at AMK Centre carpark opp Courts/Polyclinic on 24 Nov around 2.45pm.
Please call police if you recognise him or seen him around. Police report has been made.”
Potential penalties
Persons found guilty of vandalism face a fine of up to $2,000 and/or a jail term of up to 3 years and/or 3 to 8 strokes of the cane.
