MAN CAUGHT ON CCTV THROWING NEIGHBOUR’S PRAYER ITEMS DOWN FROM HDB BLOCK

A video emerged online showing a man throwing some items from a neighbor’s prayer altar down from an HDB building.

The incident was captured on CCTV and shared by a netizen, who said:

“Hello, admin… I’m a Singaporean I would like to share with you Abt my neighbor who has been throwing my prayers things for the past 8 YEARS…”

This is not just disrespectful, but also killer litter. Hope the police takes swift action.”

Potential penalties

Persons found guilty of high rise littering, faces a fine of up to $2,000, and repeat offenders face a fine of up to $10,000, under the Environmental Public Health Act.

For Killer Litter (where items are thrown from high-rise buildings that may cause injuries or even death), those guilty of the offence will be charged under the Penal Code and face a fine of up to $2,500 and/or a jail term of up to 6 months.
