Neo Wei Ren, a 35 year old Singaporean man is currently facing 16 charges under the Air Navigation Act. He is alleged to have operated his unmanned aircraft over Mindef’s Gombak Army Base without a permit and taking several aerial photographs.

The police said on Oct 13 last year that someone reported seeing a drone hovering over the Gombak base and court documents showed that Neo operated from a landed property at Cashew Crescent and it was know that he operated the drone for a total of seven times without the necessary permits.
Neo also took photos on four occasions while flying the drone above the Gombak Base. He will return to court on July 1.
